These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorite painting tools. Some might think “what is there besides brushes and palette knives?”. Although knives have been my favorite in the past (many of my brushes collect dust), my newest obsession is a squeegee. I saw a YouTube video of an artist painting with a squeegee, just like the one I use on my glass shower, and it looked like A LOT of fun. Well let me tell you, not only did I love how much fun painting with a squeegee was, the results were beautiful. Here are a few paintings that were painted mainly with the squeegees (maybe I should listen to the BeeGees while I paint with squeegees LOL). I did add some glazing medium when applying. This helps give the color some transparency which helps create some beautiful marks and depth.
