The Story Behind “It’s a Lori”

I didn’t come up with it, but I loved it the first time I heard it. Here’s how the It’s a Lori tagline was born.

In May of 2021 my daughter, son-in-law, and several of their friends were graduating, so of course there were parties and celebrations. I decided that I wanted to create a painting as a gift for one of their close friends. The friend had just purchased her first house and the color scheme was pink glam, very inspiring to me! I was kinda pressed for time and struggled a bit to create a piece I was confident about. I decided to bring an extra painting so Sarah could choose her favorite. She was immediately drawn to “Pink Paradise,” the piece I had painted for her. Another friend commented how much she loved the other piece. When I asked if she would like to have it, she lit up with excitement and exclaimed “it’s a Lori, now I have my very own Lori.” It totally made my day.

About 6 months later when I was In the process of deciding tag lines, handles, domain names, etc. for LD Art Designs, the first thing that popped into my head was “It’s a Lori.” I knew immediately that It’s a Lori would become a part my new venture.

I saved the best part for last. The original It’s a Lori now hangs in a nursery in its forever home!
